Sunday School Christmas Pageant 2006

We celebrate Christian holidays with special events and activities. An Advent Craft Night is held by the Young Families Group to help young children focus on the coming of the Christ Child. At Christmas, our younger students often take over worship to leave their special mark on Jesus' birth story. Christmas readings, plays, and PowerPoint renditions Kindergarten-2nd Grade Bell Ringers at First Presbyterian Church of the Christmas story have been presented. Christmas songs have been preformed by the Kindergarten-2nd Graders on handbells.

During Lent, we meet one evening each week for soup, song, study and fellowship. Craft activities and age appropriate study lessons are available for children attending the Lenten Soup Suppers while adults have concurrent study sessions. On Palm Sunday, Sunday School classes welcome Jesus (and the big people) by waving palm branches. On Easter Sunday they help "Bloom the Cross" with flowers to celebrate Jesus' resurrection.
